Nom Noms in Windsor

Hello friends!

It's the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend in my part of the world so Mumma Bear and I took a little trip to Windsor. That's the Windsor in Sydney, Australia...not England! I heard they had some really special nom noms there. It was about a half hour drive..... and I was a great navigator......

We passed lots of cows and paddocks......and even the place where turtles go to get their landscape supplies....

(sorry it's a bit blurry, it's hard for a bear to take photos out of the window of a speeding car!!!!!)

We got to Windsor and immediately I spotted the most wonderful, amazing, splendiferous shop EVER!

Just looking in the window I could tell it was definitely a Bear Friendly shop....but it got even better INSIDE....

LOLLIES!!!!! Bags and bags of lollies!!! And more bears.....

A shop full of bears and lollies! (Spot anyone you know...heehee)......

Back outside in the mall, we strolled through the Windsor Mall Craft Markets. We met some interesting people and Mumma Bear bought some lovely coasters from a man who makes wooden coasters decorated with old pub coasters from his Way Back Collection. But the bestest stall in the whole market was...the HONEY MAN!!

Of course Mumma Bear had to buy me some honey! We even bought a jar for my Twitter friend Mr Bear @MrBearAndRocky.....

After all that walking around, it was dangerously close to lunchtime. Mumma Bear wanted to go to a place that was the oldest pub in Australia, but there were some very rough looking humans hanging around inside....definitely not bear friendly! So instead we went to the Royal Exchange Hotel which is a pub with a really cool beer garden where we could have lunch.

I was happy with this as all I wanted was a good old Pub Lunch. And when I saw the blackboard menu, I was set! .....

Sausages for me please! Of course Mumma Bear got it wrong and I ended up with fish and chips - but that's ok, fish is good too and the fish and chips at the Royal Exchange was A-MAZ-ING!

Our meals came with steak-cut chips. You know the chips are great when Mumma Bear eats nearly all her chips (she normally only has 3 or 4, but not today!). We also all had salad on our plates. I didn't bring any rabbits with me so there was no need for MY salad, but Mumma Bear ate hers and said it was a really nice salad with different lettuces (lettuce is bad enough, why would you want different types!), grated carrot, spring onion, red onion, tomato and beetroot. I still don't see the joy, but she said yum.....enough already with the salad!

When we got home, I did a quick inventory on my stash from the lolly shop......

Ah, good, all there! And a great day was had by all!!

Bill xx
